Tuesday, 26 May 2009: It's time to celebrate for Standard X students in schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. The overall pass percentage for the Chennai region is 95.60, ahead of the other regions, Ajmer (94.14), Allahabad (89.54), Panchkula (88.95), Delhi (87.70) and Guwahati (60.42).
The relative pass percentage of States in the region shows that the performance is neck and neck, with Puducherry (99.72), Kerala (99.22), Goa (98.93), Karnataka (98.74) and Tamil Nadu (98.74).
Parnil Singh from the Kendriya Vidyalaya at Sri Vijayanagar in Vizag is the all-India topper with an outstanding 98.8 per cent.
Six students, including three from Chennai, two from Allahabad and one from Panchkula, have scored 98.6 per cent. As many as seven students have bagged the third all-India position with 98.4 per cent.
