Matriculation stream
Students of the Matriculation stream also made a mark in the examinations, not just in terms of the number of students securing top ranks, but also with regard to overall pass percentage.

The students recorded a pass percentage of 95.9.

None of the three students who secured the first rank in the stream were from the Salem-Namakkal belt, which has come to be known as “topper districts,” producing a good number of high scorers ever year.

The first rank holders, this year, were from Tiruppur, Erode and Dharmapuri. While 6,178 students scored full marks in mathematics, 2,072 scored centum in science.
Anglo Indian and OSLC
Students of the Anglo Indian stream recorded a 95.5 per cent pass, while 94.4 per cent of the students in the O.S.L.C. stream passed the examination.
